Fees

A legacy book can rival the cost of a Viking Cruise, but unlike the cruise, which is over in a week or two, you’ll have preserved a lifetime of memories for your loved ones in a beautiful bespoke book.

Privately Published Legacy Books

A Never Forget Legacy Book is based on your unique vision. There are no templates or shortcuts to capture and preserve your life story. The services required include:

  • A planning session to discuss your vision for your book.

  • A series of recorded interview sessions over several weeks or months.

  • Interview transcription to retain the voice of the storyteller.

  • Writing the manuscript, research, editing, client reviews, and revisions.

  • Adobe Photoshop photo restoration and creation of captions.

  • Professional interior book and cover design in Adobe InDesign.

  • Managing the commercial printing process.

Legacy books usually take eight to twelve months to complete—from the initial consultation to holding your beautiful hardcover book in your hands.  Project fees are based on the book’s scope and target length, whether it is a book about one or two individuals, the number of interviews and photos, the extent of family or historical research, and other considerations.

Fees for a comprehensive autobiographical legacy book typically start at $18,000.

Keepsake Memory Books

These smaller books of vignette memories and photos are a lower-cost option because they don’t take an autobiographical approach to writing. Fees start at $5,000.

Ethical Wills

An ethical will shares your values, wisdom, and life lessons with your loved ones. Fees start at $2,500.

Milestone Books: Engagement, Anniversary, and Travel

Milestone books celebrate the pinnacle moments of your life. Fees start at $4,000.

Coaching, Editing, and Book Design

Coaching, editing, and book design services are available to individuals writing their own life stories but need help along the way. Services are billed hourly, with packages starting at $1,500.

*Project fees include three legacy books; clients pay the cost of additional books for family members and friends.

Testimonials

“We all think we can write a book about our life experiences. But it was Linda who brought my ramblings to order and gave life to my business memoir. I plan to write a family history and would not think of doing so without Linda’s help.”
