Linda Abbott is a published author, speaker, and personal historian. She launched Never Forget Legacies & Tributes to help individuals and families capture and preserve their stories in beautifully crafted legacy books.

“I feel so blessed to do this work,” she said. “I’ve had the opportunity to interview some of the most interesting and inspiring people I’ve ever met. It is an honor and a privilege to write someone’s life story.”

Linda has written books for four World War II veterans and individuals from all walks of life. She encourages people to write their life stories through public speaking in Wisconsin at the Fort Myers, Sanibel, and Bonita Springs public libraries.

Over the years, it’s been especially rewarding to see families enjoy the experience of creating a legacy book. “On a recent project, we asked the storyteller’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren to contribute their favorite memories for the book. The response was amazing; some were laugh-out-loud funny, and others heartfelt and poignant. Their grandfather was overjoyed, and it was a fantastic chapter in his book.”

Before starting Never Forget Legacies, Linda enjoyed successful careers in journalism and public relations. Over the years, she wrote hundreds of stories about people and businesses and ghostwrote CEO thought leadership pieces published in business and consumer media. A late bloomer to fiction, in 2014, Linda published her debut novel, a family drama set on Sanibel Island. Though she expected to sell maybe 100 books to family and friends, she sold thousands of copies. The experience left her with the unshakeable belief that we are all so much more capable than we believe.

In 2020, Linda expanded her life story writing services to Naples and Bonita Springs after purchasing a home in Bonita Shores with her husband, Paul. Longtime visitors to Sanibel Island, they are thrilled to be splitting their time between Middleton, Wisconsin, and Bonita Springs.
